Explore natural botanicals, traditional plants and hive products grown, gathered and produced at Hanging Wood on the North Downs in Surrey.

Our range includes pure natural beeswax from our own hives, raw propolis, wild nettles, Self-heal, Ground Ivy, Scots Pine needles and other seasonal herbs and plants traditionally valued for their many practical uses.

We grow and gather many of our botanicals directly from our woodland, meadows and surrounding land. Plants are harvested in small quantities according to the season, while our beeswax and propolis come from colonies kept in our own woodland apiary.

Our natural beeswax is unrefined and retains the character of wax produced by the hive. It is popular for traditional preparations, balms, salves, cosmetics, candle making and natural wood care. Raw propolis is collected from our own beehives and supplied in its natural form.

Wild plants such as nettles, Self-heal, Ground Ivy and pine have a long history of traditional use. Individual product descriptions provide further information about each plant, how it is supplied and its traditional or practical uses.

Our range changes with the seasons as different plants and natural materials become available. No pesticides or insecticides are used on our land.
