🦜 3 x 40cm Y-Shaped Natural Bird Perches – Cage Brackets Included

A set of three natural Y-shaped branch perches, handmade from branches grown in our sustainably managed woodland on the North Downs in Surrey.

Each perch retains its natural bark, bends, forks, knots and variations in diameter, creating a much more varied perching surface than a smooth manufactured wooden dowel.

Cage fixing brackets are included, so the branches can be attached directly to a suitable bird cage.

Choose Your Perch Diameter

1.5–2cm diameter
Suitable for smaller birds such as Budgies and other similarly sized birds.

2–3cm diameter
Suitable for larger birds such as Cockatiels, Parrots and other similarly sized birds.

These are approximate guides. Birds vary in size, so please select the diameter most appropriate for your individual bird.

🌳 Natural Branches for Healthy Feet

Unlike perfectly straight dowel perches, our branches are deliberately selected for their natural Y-shaped forks, bends, knots, bark texture and variations in diameter.

These different surfaces encourage birds to use a variety of grips and foot positions, helping to keep their feet healthy and naturally exercised.

The Y-shaped design also gives your bird additional places to perch, climb and explore.

Mixed Bird-Suitable Woods

Depending on seasonal availability, your perches may be made from:

• Hazel
• Beech
• Sycamore
• Sweet Chestnut

The exact mixture of species may vary between sets.

🌿 Natural & Untreated

Our branches are supplied in their natural state and have not been washed, sterilised, varnished or chemically treated.

Natural moss or lichen may occasionally be present on the bark. If you prefer to remove this, the branch can be gently cleaned before installation.

The wood may be fresh or partially seasoned when supplied and will continue to dry naturally. Good ventilation is recommended.

Please Note

These are real woodland branches rather than manufactured perches, so every set is different. Expect natural variation in shape, forks, bends, bark colour, knots and diameter.

Please check that the cage bracket is securely tightened before use and inspect natural wooden perches periodically, particularly if your bird likes to chew them.

🌳 From Our Surrey Woodland

Our branches are harvested in small quantities through coppicing, pruning and thinning as part of the ongoing management of our family woodland.

No pesticides or insecticides are used on our land.

Hanging Wood has been managed by our family since 1976 on the North Downs in Surrey.
