North Downs in Surrey and is completely untouched and unprocessed and includes the original beehive wooden frame as it exists in the beehive. The raw honey contains digestive enzymes, propolis, antioxidant, prebiotics and natural vitamins and minerals.
The frame is supplied in a presentation box and vacuum packed to retain freshness.
Measurements: The frame measures approx 45cm x 15cm and weighs approx 1.5 - 2kg
Care & Storage: Keep the frame stored at room temperature. Honey doesn't go bad so you can enjoy it at your own pace. You can scrape the capping off to let the honey drip out or you can cut sections off and use as you need. The honeycomb wax is also edible. We recommend using it within 12 months as it will start to natural crystallize and go solid but it will last longer.
These frames contain honey that is completely raw, unfiltered and unpasturised. Our bees mainly forage on wild flowers including hazel, bluebells, hawthorn, black berries and clover.
We take great care not to harm any of our bees when extracting honey or when undertaking any other beekeeping jobs.
- We only extract excess honey from hives and never leave the bees short of honey.
- Our bees are only fed sugar if they have not been able to produce enough honey for their own colony and even in these circumstances we often feed them with honey extracted from a stronger colony that has excess honey.
- We do not breed bees for increased productivity. Our colonies are largely rescue bees collected from local swarms in peoples gardens.
- We never clip a Queen's wings.
- We plant a variety of fruit trees, flowers and managed wild flower meadows, wild flower shrubs and blackberry briars to ensure there is plenty of food for both wild bees and insects and our own bees.
