This listing is for a freshly cut log from a deciduous tree grown in our woodlands in Surrey. The log is suitable for growing many varieties of mushrooms including Shiitake, Oysters, Chestnut and Nameke. Please follow the inoculation guide given by your spawn supplier. Note spawn is not supplied with the log.

The log will be Beech, Sycamore or Sweet Chestnut depending on our copparding cycle.

Dimensions - approx 100cm long with a diameter of 8 - 12cm

The tree will not be destroyed in the harvesting of this log and the tree is sourced from sustainable trees which are copparded (cut on the stem leaving the root stool) for multiple stem growth every 5 - 10 years.
