🍯 Real Beehive Honeycomb Frame with Bee Pollen
Bring a little piece of a working beehive into your home.
This unusual natural wall hanging is made from a real wooden beehive frame previously used by our bees at our apiary on the North Downs in Surrey.
The frame retains the genuine beeswax honeycomb created by the colony, together with naturally occurring propolis and all the wonderful variations that develop inside a working hive.
A small glass vial containing real bee pollen collected from our hives is attached to the frame, creating an unusual natural-history display and a fascinating gift for anyone interested in bees and beekeeping.

🐝 Made by the Bees
The most beautiful thing about these frames is that we haven't created the honeycomb – the bees have.
Every comb develops differently within the hive. Some frames have beautifully regular cells, while others contain darker comb, uneven edges, open areas and irregular structures.
These differences are part of the history and character of a genuine working beehive.

🌿 Real Beeswax, Pollen & Propolis
This is a genuine natural beekeeping product rather than a reproduction or decorative imitation.
The wax, pollen and propolis have all been produced or gathered by our bees. Natural variations in colour, texture and appearance should therefore be expected.
Older brood comb can naturally become considerably darker than fresh beeswax as it is repeatedly used within the colony. This variation makes every frame completely individual.
Please Note
You will receive a frame similar to those shown in the photographs, but every piece is unique.

The frame is supplied as a decorative and educational display piece only. The honeycomb, pollen, wax and propolis are not supplied for human consumption.
🐝 Our Beekeeping
We have kept bees at Hanging Wood for over 40 years and aim to manage our colonies with as little unnecessary interference as possible.
We do not clip our queens' wings and we allow our bees to build natural comb rather than treating the hive simply as a means of maximising honey production.
The frames used for these displays are given a second life rather than being discarded when they are removed from active use.
