At approximately 120cm / 4ft long and 5–8cm thick, the branch provides a beautiful natural framework for adding your own flowers, foliage, greenery and seasonal decorations.

It is particularly suited to rustic, woodland, botanical and country weddings, where real bark and naturally irregular timber can become part of the overall floral design.

🌳 Hazel or Sycamore

Your branch will be either Hazel or Sycamore, depending on what is available through our current woodland management and coppicing cycle.

Hazel generally has lighter brown bark with attractive natural markings, while Sycamore tends towards a mid-brown bark.

We select substantial pieces with plenty of real bark texture, knots, bends and natural character.

🪵 Real Woodland-Grown Timber

These aren't manufactured wooden poles or artificial rustic props.

Each one is a real tree branch grown outdoors in our Surrey woodland.

Expect natural differences in:

• Shape and curvature
• Diameter
• Bark colour
• Knots and branch scars
• Natural markings
• Texture

You will receive a branch similar in general size and character to those shown in the photographs, but every piece is naturally unique.

⚠️ Hanging & Installation

The branch itself weighs approximately 3–5kg before flowers, foliage or other decorations are added.

It is therefore essential to use ceiling fixings and a suspension system capable of safely supporting the total finished weight of the branch and everything attached to it.

We include approximately 4m of natural jute, although professional florists, venues or installers may choose to use their own suitable chains, ropes or suspension system.

Ceiling fixings and chains are not supplied.

For weddings and events, always check with the venue before installing a suspended display.

🌳 Grown in Our Surrey Woodland

Our Hazel and Sycamore are grown in our family-managed woodland on the North Downs in Surrey.

These branches are produced through our woodland management and coppicing cycle rather than being imported decorative timber.

No pesticides or insecticides are used on our land.

Hanging Wood has been managed by our family since 1976.
