🌳 116cm Thick Natural Sweet Chestnut Branch
A long, strong Sweet Chestnut branch cut from our sustainably managed woodland on the North Downs in Surrey.
Sweet Chestnut produces wonderfully strong and characterful natural poles. These branches are selected for their substantial diameter and relatively straight growth, making them suitable for everything from bird and reptile perches to walking-stick blanks, staffs, craft projects and rustic home displays.
The natural bark has rich brown tones with considerable variation in colour and texture, giving every branch its own individual woodland character.

🪵 Ideal For
Natural Bird & Reptile Perches
The natural bark, knots and variations in diameter make these branches useful for creating long climbing and perching areas in suitable bird and reptile enclosures.
Always choose an appropriate diameter for your particular animal and make sure the branch is securely installed before use.
Walking Sticks, Staffs & Crafts
Sweet Chestnut is a strong and attractive wood, making these long branches particularly suitable as blanks for walking sticks, staffs, staves and other woodworking projects.
They are supplied with their natural bark intact, allowing you to keep the rustic appearance or peel, carve, sand and finish the wood to suit your project.
🌿 Fresh Natural Wood
These branches are fresh or partially seasoned and will continue to dry naturally. If you are using the branch for a walking stick, staff or woodworking project, you may wish to allow it to season before completing your finished piece.
Store in a dry, well-ventilated place and allow the wood to dry gradually. Some natural movement, shrinkage or checking may occur as green wood seasons.
The branches have not been washed, varnished or chemically treated.
For Hanging & Home Decor
These strong branches can also be used to create rustic hanging centrepieces, rails and chandelier-style displays.
If suspending a branch from a wall or ceiling, please use fixings appropriate for the weight of the branch and anything being hung from it. Fixings, chains, lights and decorations are not included.
Please Note
You will receive a natural Sweet Chestnut branch similar to those shown in the photographs. Each branch is unique, so bark colour, knots, shape, straightness and diameter will vary.
