🌳 116cm Natural Crooked Beech Branch – Thick Multipurpose Woodland Stick

A substantial, naturally crooked Beech branch approximately 116cm long and 3–4cm diameter, freshly cut from our family-managed woodland on the North Downs in Surrey.

Beech produces wonderfully characterful branches with natural bends, knots and smooth grey-brown bark. We retain these features rather than machining the branch into a uniform pole, making each piece completely individual.

Its combination of length and thickness makes this branch useful for everything from natural bird and reptile perches to walking staffs, staves, carving, wand making and rustic craft projects.

🐦 Natural Bird Perch

The branch can be used to create a long, substantial natural bird perch for appropriately sized birds.

The natural bends, bark, knots and changes in diameter provide a much more varied surface than a completely uniform wooden dowel.

Beech is one of the British woods we use in our natural bird-perch range. Always check that the branch diameter and wood species are appropriate for your particular bird before use.

Our branches are supplied in their natural, unwashed and unsterilised state. Customers who prefer to clean or disinfect natural branches before use should use a method and product suitable for birds.

🐍 Reptile & Snake Enclosures

The branch can also be incorporated into suitable reptile, snake and bioactive enclosures to create a substantial natural climbing or elevated structure.

Its crooked form can be particularly useful for creating a more natural-looking enclosure than perfectly straight manufactured poles.

Always ensure that branches are securely positioned and capable of supporting the animal's weight before introducing them to an enclosure.

At approximately 116cm long, these branches can make excellent starting material for:

🌳 Grown in Our Surrey Woodland

Our Beech is grown and cut in our family-managed woodland on the North Downs in Surrey.

Branches are harvested in small quantities as part of our ongoing woodland and habitat management. We do not use pesticides or insecticides on our land, and the wood isn't artificially treated.

Hanging Wood has been managed by our family since 1976.
