🌿 10 x 40cm Natural Sycamore Wood Sticks

A bundle of 10 natural Sycamore branches, freshly cut from our sustainably managed woodland on the North Downs in Surrey.

Sycamore is a pale, attractive and versatile wood that is particularly enjoyable to work with for carving, whittling and traditional crafts. We select these branches for their relatively straight growth and natural bark character.

🪵 Natural Sycamore Wood

These sticks are supplied green, meaning they are freshly cut rather than kiln-dried or fully seasoned. Green Sycamore is relatively easy to work and the branches will gradually dry and season naturally when stored in a dry, well-ventilated place.

The sticks have not been washed, varnished or chemically treated. Natural variations in bark colour and texture, small knots, buds and slight bends are normal and give each branch its individual character.

Please Note

You will receive 10 branches similar to those shown in the photographs. As these are natural woodland branches rather than manufactured wooden dowels, the exact colour, shape, thickness and bark markings will vary between sticks.

🌳 From Our Surrey Woodland

Our Sycamore is harvested in small quantities as part of the ongoing thinning, pruning and management of our woodland. No pesticides or insecticides are used on our land.

Hanging Wood has been managed by our family since 1976 on the North Downs in Surrey.
